NTC Memorandum Circular No. 03-08-2013 lists 915–918 MHz as an unlicensed short-range-device band, so compliant low-power LoRaWAN devices need no individual radio station licence. Cubicore ships gateways and sensors pre-configured for AS923-3 so they join your network out of the box.
Expect roughly 1–3 km in dense urban areas such as Metro Manila, 5–8 km in suburban and industrial estates, and 8–10 km in rural, coastal, and line-of-sight settings with an elevated mast. Terrain, antenna height, and clutter matter more than raw transmit power.
