Cubicore at Arduino Day Philippines 2026: LoRaWAN talk, LaaS, and the launch of the Cubicore LoRaWAN Learning Kit

Cubicore joined Arduino Day Philippines 2026 at Asia Pacific College with a talk on doing LoRaWAN in the Philippines using Arduino, our LoRaWAN as a Service offering, and the launch of the low-cost Cubicore LoRaWAN Learning Kit.

Cubicore brought a full lineup of LoRaWAN activities to Arduino Day Philippines 2026 at Asia Pacific College. The event gathered students, hobbyists, and professional makers from across the country, and gave us a chance to show what long-range, low-power IoT looks like in real Philippine conditions.

On stage: Doing LoRaWAN in the Philippines using Arduino

Our talk walked through how to send sensor data across kilometres without relying on Wi-Fi or expensive data plans — the AS923-3 frequency plan used locally, realistic gateway range, power budgeting for battery-powered nodes, and how to get an Arduino-based device joined to a LoRaWAN network.

LoRaWAN as a Service (LaaS)

We also shared how our LoRaWAN as a Service offering removes the network layer from your project plan. Instead of buying, installing, and maintaining gateways and a network server, teams subscribe to coverage and focus on their application — a faster and more reliable way to deploy IoT projects across the country.

Launching the Cubicore LoRaWAN Learning Kit

The highlight of the day was the launch of the Cubicore LoRaWAN Learning Kit: a complete, low-cost bundle built specifically for students, hobbyists, and professionals who want to start with LoRaWAN without a large upfront spend. Everything needed for a first end-to-end LoRaWAN project ships in one box.

  • Live demos of the Learning Kit running on our network at the Cubicore booth.
  • Hands-on time with gateways, sensors, and dashboards with our engineers.
  • Guidance on turning a class project or thesis into a deployable LoRaWAN system.

Thanks to everyone who dropped by the booth. If you missed us at Arduino Day, email info@cubicore.io and we will point you to the Learning Kit and the next LoRaWAN 101 session.
